Product Description
The Bently Nevada 135613-02 is a 4-channel I/O module specifically designed to pair with the 3500/42M Proximitor Seismic Monitor. This module serves as the physical interface between the field sensors and the monitor’s processing electronics. The “02” variant is designed for Internal Terminations, meaning field wiring connects directly to the terminal blocks on the back of the 3500 rack.
This I/O module allows the 3500/42M to perform critical machinery protection functions, such as measuring radial vibration, axial thrust, and seismic casing vibration. It facilitates the transmission of high-accuracy transducer signals while providing the necessary conditioning and buffering to protect the main monitor from field-side electrical interference.

Operating Precautions
- Module Pairing: The 135613-02 I/O module must always be installed in the slot directly behind its corresponding 3500/42M main monitor.
- Internal vs. External: Ensure your system is designed for internal terminations. If your rack uses External Termination (ET) blocks, this module will not be compatible, and you would require the 128229-01 variant.
- Field Wiring: Use shielded, twisted-pair cabling for all sensor inputs. Ensure the shields are grounded only at the 3500 rack end to prevent ground loops that can induce “noise” into the vibration readings.
- Live Insertion: The 3500 rack supports “Hot Swap” capability; however, removing this I/O module will immediately result in a “NOT OK” status for all four channels on the associated monitor and may trigger associated relay trips if not bypassed.
