Product Description
The B&R 7DO135.70 is a high-density digital output module designed for the B&R System 2005 PLC family. It provides 16 transistor outputs for switching 24 VDC loads such as solenoids, contactors, and signal lamps.
The module is engineered for high-speed switching and reliability, featuring integrated short-circuit and overload protection. Each channel is equipped with optical isolation to protect the internal system bus from field-level electrical noise and surges. The 7DO135.70 is widely used in legacy B&R control architectures for precise and robust machine control.

Operating Precautions
- Load Limits: Ensure the total simultaneous current across all 16 channels does not exceed the 8A limit to prevent thermal damage to the internal bus connectors.
- Short Circuit Protection: While the module features electronic protection, a fast-acting external fuse is recommended for the main 24 VDC supply to provide secondary safety for the wiring harness.
- Inductive Loads: When switching highly inductive loads (large coils), ensure external suppression diodes or RC snubbers are used if the internal protection is insufficient for the specific flyback voltage.
- Mounting: Ensure the module is securely latched into the System 2005 backplane. Loose connections can lead to intermittent “I/O Bus” errors and unexpected machine behavior.
