The GE Fanuc VMIPMC-5565 (Abaco Systems) is a high-performance, deterministic Reflective Memory network interface board in a PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) form factor. Engineered for real-time distributed processing architectures, it allows computers, PLCs, and simulators to share data over a fiber-optic network at extremely high speeds with zero software overhead. Any write operation to the local Reflective Memory board is instantly replicated across all other nodes on the network loop.

  • Check the condition of the LC fiber-optic ports prior to connection; clean the optical tips with approved lint-free tools to prevent dust from creating signal loss (attenuation).
  • Do not look directly into the fiber-optic transmitter or cable ends during active operation, as the infrared laser emission can cause severe invisible eye strain or injury.
