Description

The HIMA F8652E is a Central Processing Unit (CPU) module for HIMA H41q safety-related automation systems. HIMA documentation identifies the F8652E as a central module for H41q systems, with support for safety-related applications and redundant processing architecture.

The module uses two clock-synchronized Intel 386EX 32-bit microprocessors, allowing the controller to perform safety-related processing with processor-level redundancy. Each processor has dedicated operating-system Flash-EPROM, user-program Flash-EPROM, and SRAM. The module also provides two RS-485 serial interfaces, a four-digit diagnostic display, and a fail-safe watchdog output.
