Description

The Honeywell FS-CPCHAS-0001 is a dedicated Control Processor Chassis for the Honeywell Safety Manager safety instrumented system. It houses the Control Processor modules and associated controller-side modules, and supports both redundant and non-redundant controller configurations. The chassis incorporates the CPB-0001 controller backplane and is designed for installation in a standard 19-inch cabinet.

The chassis provides the mechanical mounting, module guides, backplane connections, grounding, and internal cable-management structure required for the Safety Manager controller assembly. In redundant configurations, the chassis accommodates duplicated processor, communication, and power-supply module positions.

⚙️ Application

The FS-CPCHAS-0001 is used as the controller chassis in Honeywell Safety Manager installations. It contains the Control Processor modules and provides dedicated positions for communication modules, processor power supplies, and the shared Battery and Key Switch Module in redundant configurations.

The chassis is a controller chassis rather than an I/O chassis, so Safety Manager I/O modules should be installed in the corresponding I/O chassis. The FS-CPCHAS-0001 is also an older/withdrawn chassis model; Honeywell documentation identifies FS-CPCHAS-0003 as its replacement. For an existing installation, the complete chassis revision and installed module configuration should be checked before substitution.
