Installation & Configuration Guidelines

• Mounting & Clearances: Mount the drive vertically on a flat, rigid panel. Provide adequate clearance above and below the heat sink to allow for unobstructed convection or forced-air cooling.
• Thermal Management: Ambient operating temperatures dictate cooling requirements. At 25°C, convection cooling is sufficient for rated continuous output. For ambient temperatures up to 50°C, supplemental forced air is required to maintain the 5.3 A continuous rating.
• Wiring Requirements: Segregate low-voltage signal/feedback wiring from high-voltage AC power and motor lead cables to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI). Use shielded cables for all feedback and command signals.
• Resolver / Encoder Feedback: Connect the motor feedback device to the designated drive feedback port, ensuring correct pinout configuration as designated by the SCE900 hardware manual.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnostic Indicators: Observe the multi-segment LED or fault indicators on the front panel for status codes, overcurrent, overvoltage, or feedback loss faults.
• Overheating / Overcurrent Faults: Check the ambient panel temperature and motor load. Verify that the peak current draw does not exceed 10.6 A during aggressive deceleration or acceleration ramps.
• Feedback Loss: If the drive trips on a feedback error, inspect the continuity and shielding of the resolver/encoder cable connecting the drive to the servomotor.

Safety & Handling

• Capacitor Discharge Time: High-voltage DC bus capacitors require time to discharge after AC power is removed. Wait a minimum of 5 minutes before touching terminal blocks or internal wiring.
• Power Isolation: Always disconnect and lock out main supply power before installing, wiring, or servicing the unit.
