The PEPPERL+FUCHS LB9022S is a redundant base backplane designed for the LB Remote I/O system. It provides the mounting and electrical interconnection structure for communication units, power supplies, and I/O modules in industrial automation applications.
The LB9022S supports redundant fieldbus and power supply arrangements, with up to 22 single-width I/O module slots and five SIL 2 output shutdown segments. Depending on the installed bus coupler, supported communication protocols include PROFIBUS DP, PROFIBUS DP-V1, and Modbus RTU. It is intended for suitable hazardous-area installations, including Zone 2 and Class I, Division 2, subject to system configuration and applicable approvals.
