1. Product Description
The Triconex 3401 is a 16-point digital output module for the Trident safety and control system. It provides 24 V DC discrete outputs for controlling field devices such as relays, solenoids, and other compatible industrial loads. The module uses triple modular redundancy (TMR) and a two-out-of-three voting architecture to help maintain safe output operation in the presence of faults. Continuous output diagnostics monitor channel and field-output conditions, including loss of field power and output faults. The 3401 is designed for installation on a compatible digital output baseplate, such as Model 2401. Verify field load requirements, wiring, and system compatibility before installation.
