🔹 Product Description
The WOODWARD 8237-1600 ProTech-GII is a high-reliability electronic overspeed protection device designed for industrial turbine and rotating machinery safety applications.
This panel-mounted protection system monitors turbine speed and acceleration and initiates a shutdown command when configured safety limits are exceeded. It uses Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) and 2-out-of-3 (2oo3) voting logic to provide reliable protection and fault monitoring.
The 8237-1600 features three independent protection modules, voted speed inputs, and voted trip relay outputs. Each module provides independent speed monitoring, alarm indication, and analog speed output.
It is suitable for steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, reciprocating engines, compressors, and other critical rotating equipment.

Key Applications:
- Steam turbine overspeed protection
- Gas turbine safety protection
- Hydro turbine speed monitoring
- Industrial generator protection
- Compressor overspeed protection
- Power generation facilities
- Emergency turbine shutdown systems
